Manchester City have reached an agreement with French club Lille for the transfer of midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi in a deal reportedly valued at up to £85.6 million. The guaranteed portion of the fee is £81 million, with the remainder subject to potential add-ons.

The 18-year-old Moroccan international is set to bolster the midfield options for new manager Enzo Maresca, following the departures of key players including Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders this summer. The club has experienced significant turnover at the Etihad Stadium, with established names such as Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Nathan Ake, and former manager Pep Guardiola all departing.

Bouaddi’s arrival comes shortly after Manchester City secured the signing of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million, reflecting the club’s intent to strengthen their squad with young talent. Bouaddi attracted attention with his performances during the recent World Cup and is expected to sign a long-term contract once the transfer is finalized.

Meanwhile, other players are anticipated to leave the club as the transfer window progresses. Savinho appears close to a move to Tottenham Hotspur, while Omar Marmoush and Nico Gonzalez could also be on their way out. Both players were listed on the bench for Manchester City’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth on Sunday.

In addition to Bouaddi, Manchester City have been linked to potential transfers involving Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez and Palmeiras winger Allan as they continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new season.
