Yarmouk Club has confirmed the continuation of national coach Khaled Al-Mutairi as head coach of its first volleyball team for the upcoming season. The decision, announced on July 25 in Kuwait City, aligns with the club’s strategy to maintain stability within its technical staff as preparations resume for the 2025-26 season, which is scheduled to restart in early September.

Al-Mutairi expressed gratitude for the club board’s confidence, noting that their support serves as motivation to work diligently toward meeting the club’s expectations. He highlighted the administration’s commitment to providing the resources necessary for the team’s development and competitive performance in local tournaments.

In terms of player roster moves, Al-Mutairi confirmed the renewal of Cameroonian professional Ibrahim Adam’s contract for a second consecutive season. Additionally, Adam’s compatriot Aba Mohammed has joined Yarmouk as part of their ongoing squad preparations. The coach also indicated that the club is nearing agreements with three local players to further bolster the team depth ahead of the new campaign.

Training sessions for the team began earlier in July, focusing on enhancing players’ fitness and technical skills. Al-Mutairi emphasized that the comprehensive training program aims to prepare the squad physically and strategically for the demands of the First Division League, with aspirations to secure positive outcomes during the resumed competition.

Meanwhile, the Kuwait Volleyball Association has announced that the volleyball season, suspended since March due to regional circumstances, will recommence in September. Ahead of the 2026-27 season, the association has established its key committees, appointing Aref Al-Subaihi as chairman of the Competitions Committee, Adel Bounashi as head of the Referees Committee, and Dr. Abdullah Taleb as chairman of the Beach Volleyball Committee.
