Yemeni Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zuba emphasized Kuwait’s longstanding and multifaceted partnership with Yemen during a visit to Kuwait City on September 1. Speaking with media representatives, Dr. Al-Zuba highlighted that the relationship between the two nations extends beyond wartime assistance and humanitarian aid, encompassing over six decades of political collaboration, mediation efforts, development initiatives, and cultural exchanges.

The minister noted that her visit aims to transition these ties into a more structured and dynamic phase by enhancing political consultations, implementing existing agreements, and broadening cooperation frameworks to support Yemen’s development. Dr. Al-Zuba further shared that she met with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, during which she presented a written message from Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, addressed to Kuwait’s Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The message underscored the fraternal nature of the relationship between Yemen and Kuwait and explored opportunities to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation across various fields. This diplomatic engagement reflects Yemen’s intent to solidify and diversify its partnership with Kuwait amid ongoing regional challenges.
