Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has secured a move to Dutch club Ajax on a contract lasting until the end of the current season, with an option for the club to extend his stay by an additional year. The 30-year-old midfielder departed Spurs in June after his contract expired, concluding a four-year spell at the club following his £35 million transfer from Brighton.

Bissouma’s time at Tottenham was hampered by limited playing opportunities toward the end of his tenure. In his final campaign, he made only 11 appearances. Additionally, he was notably excluded from the UEFA Super Cup final squad in August 2022 by then-manager Thomas Frank, reportedly due to issues with punctuality.

Separately, Tottenham forward Richarlison expressed his frustration after being left out of head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s squad for a Carabao Cup match against Liverpool. The Brazilian striker shared a social media post highlighting his omission, accompanied by a tearful emoji and the caption "Why?" signaling his disappointment at not being selected for the fixture.
