The couple married in Mexico in 2024 and completed their legal union in the United States last fall.

The show explores their personal and professional lives, highlighting challenges they have faced, particularly surrounding their differing timelines for starting a family. Najor revealed in the premiere episode that a significant disagreement about having children once led her to take an unannounced trip to San Diego, a move her husband did not notice for several days.

In a follow-up clarification, Najor emphasized that the trip was intended to visit family rather than a spontaneous vacation. She explained that both she and Barber were managing demanding jobs at the time, resulting in infrequent communication and missed details, which contributed to her departure going unnoticed. Currently pregnant with their first child, Najor said the couple has since grown stronger and that she has not traveled without informing her husband again.

Addressing the tension this incident caused, Najor acknowledged that Barber received considerable criticism over her decision but described him as “a great guy” and expressed hope that their mutual respect would be evident to viewers through the series.
