Athletics utility player Zack Gelof has filed a lawsuit against the Detroit Tigers, Ilitch Holdings, and the Detroit-Wayne County Stadium Authority, seeking damages for injuries sustained during a game at Comerica Park last summer. Gelof collided with a metal fence along the third-base side of the infield in left field, resulting in a severe injury to his right knee.
