Zain Kuwait marked the conclusion of the latest season of the “Kuwait Codes” program with a ceremony held at Al Shaheed Park, where students displayed their projects and outstanding participants were recognized across various program tracks. The event also featured the presentation of the Zain Award for Youth and Community, honoring the project that most effectively used technical skills and digital tools to deliver an innovative solution benefiting the community and young people.
The program, delivered in strategic partnership with CODED Academy, aims to introduce youth to technology through hands-on learning experiences designed to develop their skills and explore future academic and career opportunities in digital fields. Over the course of five years, the initiative has impacted more than 5,500 students, reflecting growing interest and engagement among Kuwaiti youth in technology and innovation.
Hamad Al-Musaibeeh, Corporate Relations & Communications Director at Zain Kuwait, emphasized that the program’s conclusion represents not an end but a new phase in the participants’ technological and creative journeys. He noted that the program’s value lies not only in participation numbers but also in the practical capabilities, confidence, and clearer understanding of career prospects it provides. Al-Musaibeeh also highlighted the importance of equipping young people with the responsible and effective use of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, amid rapid advancements in the field.
The 2026 season of Kuwait Codes engaged nearly 1,000 participants across three primary tracks: Cybersecurity, Python programming with AI, and AI web development. Students advanced from foundational learning to applying their knowledge through challenges, workshops, and projects that culminated in the season’s closing showcase. In addition to classroom-based activities, nearly 200 students visited Zain’s headquarters in Shuwaikh to gain practical exposure to AI, cybersecurity, customer service, and responsible technology use.
Beyond Kuwait Codes, the collaboration between Zain and CODED Academy includes other initiatives such as Academy X, which focuses on empowering young women through digital education and specialized training programs. Together, these efforts aim to broaden access to technology learning and prepare Kuwait’s youth for future employment markets.
Zain reaffirmed its commitment to investing in the development of national talent by strengthening partnerships with academic institutions and supporting initiatives that foster innovation, experimentation, and education. The company’s corporate sustainability strategy prioritizes youth empowerment and digital education as key components in preparing Kuwait’s next generation to contribute to the country’s digital transformation.
