Zain Esports, the competitive gaming arm of Zain Group, has organized the 2026 PUBG MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) MENA Spring Series, spanning seven countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The championship, held over two months and concluding with nine days of live-streamed finals, brought together players from Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Palestine, and Iraq. The tournament marked a significant step for Zain Esports in establishing itself as a leading regional force within the gaming and esports landscape.

The PMNC MENA Spring Series was conducted under an official license granted by Tencent, the Chinese multinational technology company behind PUBG MOBILE and other influential digital entertainment platforms. Tencent selected Zain Esports to operate the championship in the MENA region, collaborating closely with Bahrain-based Teal Flamingo Studios in its execution. The tournament saw robust participation, with over 144,000 registered players, more than 200 matches played, approximately 790,000 livestream viewers, and upwards of 25 million views across social media.

The competition was structured to provide a clear progression path for participants, starting from open qualifiers followed by group stages, and culminating in national finals held in each participating country. It included three main segments: the 2026 PMNC MENA Wildcard Spring, which covered Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Palestine, and Qatar; as well as distinct championships for Iraq and Jordan.

Top teams from each segment were recognized for their performance. In the MENA Wildcard Spring, Nigma Galaxy won first place, with KHK Esports and Earth Quake finishing second and third, respectively. Jordan’s championship concluded with FourWiz as the champions, followed by GEE Seven and STG Esports. Iraq’s top honors went to IKURD Esports, with Lost Savage and Rage Esports placing second and third.

Zain Group highlighted the event as an example of its commitment to fostering digital innovation and leveraging its extensive connectivity infrastructure to support emerging sectors such as gaming and esports. The group emphasized its mission to create meaningful digital experiences that connect communities, empower youth, and expand opportunities for regional talent and content creators.

PUBG MOBILE, the game featured in the championship, is a mobile adaptation of the original PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, developed by LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS of Tencent Games and KRAFTON, Inc., and published by Level Infinite. Available in over 200 markets, PUBG MOBILE boasts over a billion downloads globally, underscoring its widespread popularity.

By managing the entire tournament cycle — from planning and media campaigns to broadcast and community engagement — Zain Esports aims to strengthen the region’s esports ecosystem. The initiative reflects the organization’s broader strategy to develop sustainable platforms for competitive gaming while connecting players, fans, and creators throughout the MENA region.
