Zain Kuwait has announced a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric to enhance the resilience, performance, and operations of its critical infrastructure and facilities. The collaboration aims to support Zain’s digital services, ensure business continuity, and enable sustainable growth as the company advances its digital transformation efforts.
The agreement was finalized on September 16 during the Schneider Electric Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa 2026 in Abu Dhabi. It was signed by Daaij Aloud, Chief Technology Officer of Zain Kuwait, and Amel Chadli, President of Schneider Electric’s Gulf Cluster.
Under the partnership, Zain Kuwait will leverage Schneider Electric’s operational expertise to maintain high availability and reliability across its essential infrastructure, including data centers. The project focuses on proactive operations, rapid incident response, and structured management of mission-critical environments. The collaboration also seeks to improve asset reliability, reduce operational risks, and increase infrastructure resilience to support the company’s core business priorities and enhance the delivery of digital services over Kuwait’s leading 5G network.
Daaij Aloud emphasized the importance of infrastructure in advancing digital transformation, stating that the resilience and intelligence of critical facilities are crucial to Zain’s growth strategy. He noted that the partnership with Schneider Electric brings together specialized expertise and asset management capabilities aimed at optimizing infrastructure performance and building the foundation required for the next generation of digital services, artificial intelligence (AI), and connectivity.
Aloud further highlighted ambitions beyond immediate operational improvements, pointing to the integration of AI-ready infrastructure, intelligent asset management, and sustainable operating models as key elements for supporting Zain’s long-term technology roadmap and future expansion.
Amel Chadli described the collaboration as a means to provide Kuwait’s digital economy with infrastructure that matches the intelligence of the services it supports. She explained that Schneider Electric’s experience in critical facilities, combined with its digital tools that transform asset data into actionable insights, will help Zain create a more resilient and efficient digital backbone. Chadli also underscored the company's commitment to sustainable, AI-capable infrastructure.
During the summit, both companies explored opportunities to broaden their cooperation in areas such as AI-enabled data centers, sustainability and decarbonization initiatives, AI-driven asset performance management, and advanced facilities management.
