Zain Kuwait has become the first company in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to deploy an end-to-end artificial intelligence (AI) solution across its 5G-Advanced network, enhancing the speed, reliability, and responsiveness of its mobile connectivity. The rollout, announced on October 27, integrates AI intelligence within the operator’s 5G Standalone (5G-SA) network, allowing real-time coordination between wireless access and core network components.

This AI-driven system continuously monitors network conditions and application demands, dynamically allocating resources to optimize performance and maintain stable connections even during peak usage periods. Initial testing has shown improvements of up to 60% in key performance indicators such as latency, jitter, and overall throughput. These gains were particularly evident in mobile gaming scenarios, where low latency and consistent connectivity are critical for competitive and real-time gameplay across devices including smartphones, PCs, and home consoles.

Beyond gaming, the deployment is expected to benefit other digital services that require reliable and responsive networks. These include high-definition video streaming, video conferencing, and live broadcasting, where the technology helps sustain performance amid fluctuating network conditions through intelligent optimization.

This achievement is part of Zain Kuwait’s broader ‘4WARD-Progress with Purpose’ corporate strategy, aimed at advancing its network quality and capacity as it transitions from a traditional telecommunications operator into an integrated technology company. The company has consistently invested in 5G and AI capabilities to enhance its digital infrastructure, reflecting a commitment to delivering improved customer experiences by focusing not only on speed and coverage but also on network stability and responsiveness.

By embedding AI directly into its 5G-Advanced infrastructure, Zain Kuwait is preparing to support emerging AI-driven applications and services, aligning with Kuwait’s wider digital transformation goals. The innovation underscores Zain’s leading role in introducing next-generation network technologies within the region, positioning it to meet the growing demand for sophisticated connectivity solutions across the country.
