Actors Zendaya and Tom Holland have purchased a nearly £9 million residence in Wimbledon, London, near the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the site of the annual Wimbledon tennis championships. The couple, who married earlier this year after meeting on the set of a Spider-Man film, acquired the property situated on almost an acre of land, which includes four reception rooms, a separate cottage, and a private tennis court.

The property offers a combination of space, privacy, and versatility, according to estate agents handling the sale. The location underscores the couple’s connection to the area; Holland grew up nearby in Kingston-on-Thames and attended Wimbledon College. Recently, Zendaya was spotted at Wimbledon’s Centre Court wearing designer Ralph Lauren suits during the 2024 finals, a moment Holland described as significant because it represented being part of his community.

The new home neighbors the historic Wimbledon Park Golf Club, a Grade II* listed site known for its landscaped grounds featuring oak trees planted by famed 18th-century gardener Lancelot “Capability” Brown. However, the future of this golf course is uncertain. The All England Club plans to develop an 8,000-seat stadium and expand tennis courts on the site after purchasing the leasehold for £65 million. This development faces opposition from the campaign group Save Wimbledon Park, which cites a statutory trust dating back 150 years that restricts the land’s use. The dispute is currently awaiting a ruling from the Court of Appeal.

While it is unclear what the couple’s plans are for the Wimbledon property, their representatives have reportedly been conducting regular checks, and a gardener has been employed to maintain the grounds. Locals have yet to see the couple in the area, but neighbors expressed excitement about their new famous residents.

Prior to this purchase, Holland and Zendaya lived in a £2.5 million home in Richmond. Known for maintaining a relatively low profile, the pair have been spotted engaging in everyday activities like shopping locally and visiting historic sites in the surrounding area. Both are also considered strong contenders for upcoming Academy Awards, with Zendaya nominated for her role in “Dune: Part Three” and Holland for his part in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.” The couple has declined to comment on the purchase.
